Here are a few of the biggest criminal law stories from the past week that occurred around the state of Alabama:
- A Hoover man was shot and killed outside his Lake Cyrus home Tuesday morning as he was getting in his car to go to the gym. Police suspect the shooter was responsible for several other car break-ins in the area.
- Mobile police say that 2015 marked the lowest homicide rate in 15 years; however, 9 cases still remained unsolved.
- Two Lacey’s Spring women have been accused of smuggling drugs to a Morgan County Jail inmate. One has been jailed on $20,000 bond and the other is currently still at large.
